Who Is Duck?Who is Dustin "Duck" Campbell? According to Rachel Raborn, Duck's fiancée, he is kind, patient, and caring. A man that is no stranger to the outdoors or being in front of the camera. One of her favorite things about him is his ability to make her laugh. Duck's Bio on Discovery.com states "At a young age, Duck's grandfather taught him how to survive. Everything from hunting, fishing, and catching frogs and catfish with his bare hands". One thing, I admired about Duck when we first met back in March of 2017, was his calm laid back nature. Also, I noticed that my teens took to him pretty fast. Within minutes, of meeting him you too would understand why. Remembering back to meeting him, Nathan recalls Duck as being really funny and he did not mind hanging out with kids. "All the things a great...uncle should be!", Nathan told me. Living in northern Louisiana, Duck doesn't have a lack of frogs to catch. Trust me, there are plenty of bullfrogs out in my home state's marshy lands. You can see him in action on TP Outdoor Adventure's YouTube channel. In the video below within seconds of the opening credits, you see his ability to entertain, catch frogs, and the brave and daring side to Duck's personality. TP Outdoors is a family owned and operated business that has been around for over 80 years, in the Monroe area of Louisiana. Watch this video to see a glimpse of Dustin "Duck" Campbell. What Was it Like for His FiancéeRachel is an understanding, calm, caring, and loving person. She gets this honestly, I am pretty sure she takes up after her oldest sister. Being the 4th of 5 children, Rachel has had a lot of practice in going with the flow of things. She and I, agree Duck's personality fits right into our outgoing family. While Duck was away, she worried about him the entire time. Even a necessity to live would make her feel guilty. "Every time, I would eat I would feel guilty, because I know he was out there hungry.", Rachel recalls. She said, she was not surprised by Duck applying to be on the show. When he found out, he was got accepted to be on the show, he sat her down and made "them" make the decision. She told me about he made it very clear it was an us thing and he would go if she didn't want him, too. This is one example of Duck's caring and sensitive side. She told me, "Knowing that his dream is to be in the movies, so I told him to go for it. Because, he probably wouldn't get another chance like this...to lead him closer to his dream." So, it is not a surprise, he does TP Outdoors Adventure and was on Season One, Episode One of Buying the Bayou, Gator Boys. You can watch it on Amazon.com

You can read our disclosure policy for more information. When, I asked her if she had any doubts or reservations, other than Duck being out there "naked & afraid". She said, she did have only one worry, not really doubt. "Being known as the Naked Guy's girlfriend", and that was the only thing. She did have a few "rules", but more like favors. One favor, reminds me of just how supportive my family always is. She told him, "If you are going to do this, you really are going to do, it is ALL or NOTHING!" Pep talk, so to speak. I know, I am dying for the show to air, I want to know the outcome. She is nervous to watch Naked and Afraid's episode that airs tonight at 8PM/CST. They have me on the edge of my seat! GRRRR. Living in California and them in Louisiana makes for a really good sneak away and sneak back. Big sister, didn't even know someone was missing, in action. (HAHA) ! The show made them closer, because they realized the time they did spend apart made them realize, how much they wanted to be together. When, I talked to Duck, he said that he knew he was going to propose to Rachel way before the show. She, obviously, did not. Well, he has a good woman, but our family really enjoys having Duck around. Rachel notices, he eats a lot faster now, other than that there is not any weird quirky habits he brought back. Her advice to any significant others of contestants for the show is to, "Just give your support to them. It is tough giving the circumstances, but he had a fun experience. It will be hard, because you do not get to speak to each other at all the entire time they are gone. Which makes you worry even more." Duck's Views He is glad he did it. Even though, when he came home he could not lift 80lbs of anything, he would get sick when he ate, and the scares from the bugs. "It took about a month to bounce back.", he remembers. He said, you get emotional out there. Not from being scared, but from getting in your head. Then, he followed it up with, "Tell everyone to put on their darkest shades, because you're going to see bright white streaks." Duck, honestly, that was a good one! I asked him if he would do it again, after everything he had to endure. His response, without hesitation, was "Yes, I would", and "he lives for this... expect to see me in the movies!" DON'T FORGET TO WATCH TONIGHT'S EPISODE! Starring Dustin "Duck" Campbell. 8PM/CST; 6PM/PST.
