THE APP THAT HELPS ME FEEL LESS STRESS!
This is a sponsored post, although I download the app for free all opinions in this post are mine. That fact would not of change my mind about the app. You can find my disclosure policy here. A month ago, I downloaded an app called Feel Stress Free, created by Thrive. As you can imagine, a mother with three teenagers, one on the autistic spectrum, one learning to drive, and a husband that has been deployed there is LOTS of stress in my household. Not to mention, I was diagnosed with a panic disorder. So, this Feel Stress Free app sounded like the perfect thing for me to try.About the Company:
Founded by a Psychologist in the United Kingdom, Thrive is devoted to the helping their customers with mental awareness. On the Thrive website they state, “We help prevent, detect early and manage common mental health conditions including depression and anxiety.” After, researching and talking to one of their representatives about the company, I decided to download the app and try it out for a month. My Thoughts:
- App was super easy to use
- Very straightforward
- Sign up is like any other sign up
- Feel Stress Free ask questions about your day
- Ask questions to why you may feel that way
- Gives suggestions to help ease your thoughts
- Gives you exercises to do to help relieve stress
- Calm breathing
- Deep muscle relaxation
- Meditation
- Self suggestion
My Experience:
The Feel Stress Free app helped my focus and I got to the point where I enjoyed using it. Just this past week my three teens told me, “hey mom, you seem less stressed” and “wow, what are you doing different; you are a lot less anxious this week”. For them to have noticed, it has to have helped. I have definitely felt more grounded and at peace. My stomach does not have the “normal” jitters that comes with some anxiety disorders. There is one option (this option-isn’t available in the USA) they have on the app, which I think is cool. One day, I was having a very low day and the app was alert to that fact. The app suggested I call the proper doctor, pulled up a list, wanted me to choose, and then was attempting to contact the doctor. During the meantime the app suggested I do some of the exercises. This is something that I think our healthcare could benefit from greatly. I highly recommend this app to anyone! NOT just for someone who suffers from anxiety or depression, but anyone. We all stress out. Teens stress out. High School is full of stress. On a daily basis, my three have an account by the end of the night. Thrive has offered any of my readers that would like to try this wonderful app a FREE download code for the entire month of August! Click HERE, download the app, enter the code FSFAUGUST310717.
